LVA can sell whatever books they like; they do not, cannot, and should not vouch for the accuracy or practical value of the advice the books offer. I've done enough research on slot vulturing to be able to say with reasonable certainty that as a practical matter, it doesn't work. That isn't to say that thousands of hopeful gamblers won't bleed out trying to make it work.

If it were my decision, I wouldn't sell the book. But it isn't up to me. Certainly, LVA is responding to a persistent and loud clamor for a book or books on this topic, and I get that.

The fact that the LVA allows this clown on here to disparage them and half of the people in the forums is somethng else.  (awaiting political response or death threat)

You poor man, I can't be certain about the source of your unrelenting hostility to me, nor the personality characteristics that generate such behavior, but I strongly suspect that both are because you're MAGA, and you've blasted white-hot hatred at me for DARING to criticize Noble Dear Leader Trump, both in the Sink and elsewhere. Like one comment I made in one of the Hotels forums about how Trump's insulting behavior toward Canadians, plus Trumpiffs, had drastically curtailed Canadian visitation. You freaked out and screamed that I shouldn't say anything "political "

So that was political, ooh, ooh, and I strongly suspect that your opposition to and behavior to me is also politically motivated, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh. The reason why you MAGAs object to "politics," though, is because to criticize Trump is, by extension, to criticize you. And I know that many of you are having deep regrets about that horrid thing you voted for.

I invite you to take your invective over to the Sink and scream at me endlessly for being a liberal, and do so until the cows come home, the earth spirals into the sun, or you overexert yourself and burst like an overripe zit. You will find kindred spirits there.

I've been busy but so far I've found a couple of machines I'm familiar with, and the advice is pretty much what I've come up with on my own.  Maybe this weekend I'll have time to look deeper and at more machines, they're quite a few.  The real problem I suspect is that it would be helpful to be where the machines are so maybe a trip to Vegas is in order. ( this is a joke, my trips are scheduled already).

It does have a section on Ultimate X I'm intrigued by, it is one of my favorite games and I often play it with freeplay. I remember a few years ago the vultures were more active, and would come by and tell you to come play this special machine in order to pump it up.  Didn't work on me because I really don't like people talking to me but I did get hit up a lot, and saw other people going through it.

Ultimate X vulturing isn't very profitable, especially not for the time it consumes, because when you find that pot of gold, it's more like a thimbleful: ONE hand (or more accurately, one deal).

Maybe you can tell us. According to the book, regarding slots, how are you supposed to be able to tell a) the base payback of the game on the machine; b) how often the bonus(es) you're going for will hit? You need to know and calculate both to know how much you expect to bleed before hitting the bonus, and of course that bloodshed had better be less than the bonus, or your play was a loser and a waste of time.

I know that some people swear by slot vulturing, but unlike video poker progressive hunting, you can't tell what the payback percentage is just by looking at the machine, so how do you KNOW, or even strongly suspect, that a given situation (large bonus) is a positive play? I really can't see how, so I suspect it's largely guesswork, albeit, possibly, educated guesswork. That's not enough for me, personally. I can see people going nroke tilting at this windmill.
