Elway did a good job getting three crappy teams to the SB but the AFC was weak at that time. From 81 to 96, the only AFC team to win the SB was the Raiders in 83. I can only imagine how many SB's that the 49ers would have gone to if they were in the AFC during that period.

If you are going to discredit Montana then I hope that you would extend the same courtesy to Bradshaw who probably had way more HOF'ers on his teams than Montana did. The same goes to Aikman.
