6th Annual Weenie Dog Football Challenge

We weenies are really focused on those doggie treats now that we're in the homestretch!
Weenie results after week #14

This weeks summary: Two good weenies!!

Blackjack's Arizona Cardinals pick was a solid winner, as the red birds dominated

Roscoe's KC Chiefs pick was also a solid winner as the Chiefs picked apart the RedSkins and the overrated RGIII

So the Standings look like this:

1st place BlackJack with a record of 7 wins and 7 losses

2nd place Roscoe with a record of 5 wins, 8 losses, and 1 tie

Good luck next week puppies!

That's right! The weenies are on a roll...and I am NOT talking about the hot dogs on that warmer at the seven-eleven!

heh heh

More winners coming up on Friday folks, stay tuned!

Hot Dog! Do I have a pick for you this week!

I am taking the San Francisco 49ers to win on the road by more than 5 1/2 points against Tampa Bay. This is the time of the season when motivation comes into play. And the 49ers have every reason to be fired up. Tampa Bay has the lowest-scoring offense in the NFL and facing a stiff San Francisco defense won't help.

Take the 49ers minus 5 1/2 points this Sunday.

Good luck Roscoe!

You are probably correct on this. The only thing going against you is teams that travel west to east over three time zones and have to play in an early game.

Their win % against the spread is around 30% (see second chart).

Teams traveling west to east
This week I am going to take the Indianapolis Colts minus 5.5 points over the Houston Texans.

The Colts are locked in to the plays offs right now, but they haven't been playing very well for all four quarters. They still need to work on something for the play offs, and this week will be an easy one for them, since the Texans just fired their head coach last week, and have been playing like crap all season log.

I think this bet is easy money, and will get me my third straight win in a row.

Good luck to all of you making this wager. May the power of the pups be with you.

Very true. That scenario caused me pause for thought. But after chewing on a bone and thinking about it, I believed the line reflected the travel, and the 10 a.m. San Francisco kickoff time. Otherwise, the spread would have been 7 or more.

Interesting that it was a toss up for me between San Francisco and Indy and I left the Colts wide open for Roscoe!

This is a must win game for San Fran, so I would think they would bring their A game.
