Have our flight res.'s booked, a week at polo towers set for mid march and really looking forward to it, especially now as we have no life really (haha, j/k) and our son is coming along too. I'm pretty stoked and hope it works out.
Some opinions/recommendations/chiming inning on a few things I have picked out for us and by "picked out"means written on paper and more as "suggestions". Basically whenever we go anywhere I research and write a whole bunch of things that we might want to do, ie places to eat, special interests etc.
M and I have only done a few shows in all the times we've been and plan on a doing a few but keeping a tight budget in mind.
-two shows for $75 at excal and luxor, tourn. of kings and carrot top. Seen CT on tv and thought he was pretty funny and don't know if ToK is worth watching(the other choices didn't hold much interest for u)s.
-Gordie Brown @GN I don't think I've heard anyone here say anything.
-KA this would be our big ticket show, I saw a thing on engineering of the set and it kinda fascinated me(most expensive stage ever built I think?). I hope we can score some cheaper tix, perhaps tix4 tonite is best bet there?
-Marc Savard our son really wants to see this and honestly we've never had any interest but it sounds intriguing(his psych prof. saw him and showed a little vid in class) so I guess that's probably in.
-Frank Moreno seems I've read quite a few people here say they really enjoyed his show?
Of course doing (or try) all the regular touristy things, grand canyon, hoover dam, strat, maybe red rock canyon and whatever else might pique our interest.
Casa D'amore thought it would be cool to do the limo thing(don't think he's ever been in a limo)
-Orleans Prime rib loft looks like a great meat place and can add king crab for 10 bucks! Sounds good and not too much of a budget buster.
-Want to use the 50% coup at Palms this time and really have no idea. Looked at the menus online and actully the Cafe' didn't look too bad. Nove looked expensive since there were no prices. Could use it for the buffet if nothing else is better.
-Cafe Ramen I saw this on travel channel and it looks like an awesome hole in the wall place in Chinatown, has anyone been? Also here, and this where any rec.'s would be greatly appreciated, we would love any suggestions on some great great budget-friendly chinese places, dim sum in particular. Dim sum is something we're pretty ignorant about and have loved the little bit we've tried. Also I would absolutley love to go to one of those places that has the "hand pulled" noodles, I think I might enjoy watching that as I woukld eating it.
Thanks for any help, tips etc. on any of the above or any additional. Thats all I have for now and need to get a little busier planning.
