Actually it's the first time that The Obama has been the winner of this poll. Why, . . . one might say, "It's unprecedented !"

Sorry but I'll take Carter as being the worst.

But Carter was sincere. He might have made decisions that were not universally popular but he was elected and that's what you get. But as I said, he was sincere and was doing what he thought best.
Our current president?? Same situation yet I do not get the feeling he is sincere about anything he does.
Carter was not an administrator, he was a terrible micro-manager, a problem solving engineer. Housing was virtually not affordable with near 20% interest rates, gas lines, high unemployment and high inflation. It was pretty much why I joined the Navy since there were no jobs. He did some good things with world diplomacy and had the best of intentions. But he was not a leader when we really needed a strong leader. He was the worst president in my lifetime. That was confirmed in the 1980 election.
As bad as the Mets are and I did promise to do my best, they still won't let me play centerfield for them
Carter was weak. If he were president today, I would have no doubt we would have had many more terrorist attacks.

I think Clinton was ready to explode (and rightfully so) when Carter went on some of these peace missions, and was not a designated representative of the Clinton Administration.
My vote Obama, if the interest rates were not 100 percent artificial, the stock market would be way down, and that is all that has been good the last 6 years. If Paul Volcker was in charge of the FED, interest rates would be 4-7 percent higher, he screwed Jimmy Carter with 20 percent rates, food and gas inflation is worse now than then. The FED does whatever it wants to advantage the advantaged.

Give me the power of the media, and I would have the sheeple convinced Obama is the worst by far.
How many survey respondents can actually recall the terms of Truman and Eisenhower?

But as a class exercise in statistical analysis at an institution of higher learning in...Connecticut?, polling mostly citizens of easters states, OK.

At least Carter has gone about doing some good things after his term. I suspect he was/is a person of better character than some on that list, e.g. JFK and Clinton, who both flunk the character sniff test. But political popularity has nothing to do with character.
