Another Story 'Bout Young Black Men

There was a story on ID about a young female clerk abducted from a convenience store. It was a terrible story, horrifying video on the store camera. Anyway, the side bar to this is when cops showed up they found several piles of money and notes on the counter from people who had left with their merchandise and enough money (in some cases a little more, in some cases a note they would be back to pay).

Awful story, but heartwarming to see the honesty in a lot of folks. I'd leave money or just not take anything.
I'll choose to believe the story is true. I don't look for conspiracies or fiendish behavior; there's already enough of that in the world.

Why this should entitle them to a direct call from the President himself!

Do you know how unfunny and how immature that looks when you do that?
there may be some problems though. the men were athletes from a local college, there may be some problems giving them gift certificates since it is against NCAA rules. they may have to give back the certificates or maybe donate them someplace to avoid sanctions or penalties.

I do agree with most, it is great that you do see some kids that actually are honest. with the martin/zimm case there is so much negativity towards young blacks, we would like to hope that would be the norm with young kids.....one day

Well if they are talented, then suspend them for one half of a game. If they are average then vacate all wins and prevent the program from playing in any bowl games.

Truth really pisses you off, doesn't it, roulette boy?

In the book Freakonomics, they had a section on a guy who sells about 8,000 bagels a week to employees at over a hundred business, all on the honor system. Almost no one ever stole the money box, but lots of bagels were unpaid for.

And since the bagel seller was also an MIT trained economist, he knew how to keep pretty good statistics on his results. The people most prone to theivery were the business executives. Just like in real life.
