The Best and Worst Run States in America

The Best and Worst Run States in America --- According to today's 24/7 Wall Street article, the top 5 best run states are North Dakota, Wyoming, Iowa, Nebraska and Utah - all conservative, Republican run states. The worst 5, in order, 1 to 5, are California, New Mexico, Illinois ,Rhode Island and Nevada- all liberal, Democratic run states. This is the third year in a row that California has been #1. This article is posted on the AT&T Yahoo Finance page. It is hard to argue with the numbers, even though some will. FYI
just a guess but does the 5th largest city in Cali have a larger population than all those 5 states combined?

there s also some quote I'm thinking of. Something about good people are easy to govern and bad people can't be governed. in other words the best or worst run States are a function of the population and not the political dogma of their leaders.
Illinois is a Sh*t hole run by Democrats into the ground.

No Republican mayor in Chicago since the 1920's.

No wonder we have the problems we have! But the folks keep electing 'em.

Is snidely333 suggesting that the citizens of North Dakota are "good people" and the citizens of California are "bad people"? And the folks in New hampshire (#25) and Ohio(#26) are just "OK" ?

Best-to-Worst

that's exactly what I'm saying.

Ohio: just OK.
And Michigan still has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country because of republican-o-nomics.
Michigan 8.8,

California 8.7 you can draw your own conclusions... Bob

No, that's Oklahoma.

Oklahoma (#33) is also just OK.

Up heh' in Appalachia folks think of Oklahomans as sorta distant cousins.
