on Martin case and from the huff. post no less. Notice who the author is as well.

"I haven't touched on the Trayvon Martin issue because race matters in this country are the paralysis of the American people. To constructively discuss Trayvon would require empathy, introspection and an understanding of America's social and economic history. This is why the open forums we have seen thus far seem to fuel more ignorance and bias than reasonable debate.

I see that as painfully obvious,I just don't get it that the masses remain completely ignorant of it or at the very least are aware but choose to ignore it and move to being pissed of. Some of teh ignorance I've seen in a few other forums(I thought it would be interesting to read some and get a feel for what john Q and shaniniquia D are writing out there). There's people who actually are under the impression that GZ tackled TM then shot him, some accounts are he ran after TM and jumped him from behind and it goes on. Very few people talked with any intelligence of the ordeal. It's a pretty sad state of affairs that some people choose to remain so ignorant and yet so vocal and righteous in their postings, makes this place look like scholar land.

I don't understand why Obama had to open his mouth about this case after all the dust had cleared. Let the topic just die and go away.

" . . . We'd spend less time subconsciously repeating lyrics about death and murder and more time understanding why we are so willing to twerk to songs that bemean women and boast of having things we cannot afford."

For the record DonDiego does not twerk.

Says the guy who in this forum alone has averaged 3.79 posts per day every day for 8 years, 4 months, mostly on subjects ranging from disgusting to vile (with an odd repellent one mixed in for flavor).

I'll go with Sen. McCain's view on this one:

The senator also praised the remarks Obama delivered about the Zimmerman case on Friday, calling them “very impressive” and pledging to meet with more African American and Hispanic groups in Arizona. “I need Americans to talk to their friends and neighbors, not just those on their block or in their circle of friends,” he said.

Obama was for stand your ground type laws in individual states before he was against them as the POTUS.

2004 State Senator Obama on self defense
