Roulette Man, that $185 remodel is gonna need some help! I know what you meant.

......... not Roulette Man's error.

Looks like he just "copied" it from the "Today's News" section of the LVA.

Rick

Yep. I copied and pasted it.
Think Harrah's master plan all along was to use that plot as part of the McHarrah's city all along that side of the strip.
Hope they call it the Barbary Coast again.

I never liked the name "Bill's", ......... that sounded like a Hot Dog stand at the beach.

Rick
I also was wondering what the new name will be and decided it will be something really stupid like they did to the Imperial Palace. I will miss Barbary Coast/Bill's. It was always a nice break from the huge super casinos.

I can only imagine some goofball rename like Ned's or The C, such as they did with the Ditz downtown.
The best thing about that place was the easy access to the casino. The front doors are right on the sidewalk of the strip and are literally just a few feet away from the tables pit. I liked that you could just pop in as you walked down the strip....place a quick bet...and then keep walking down the strip.
I wonder what will happen with the shuttle that takes you to the Orleans and the Gold Coast.

Why, is that being remodeled too ????

Rick
I remember going into the Barbary Coast just after it opened in 1979. It was the first casino I ever saw that had blue felt (instead of green) on their gaming tables.

I stayed there once and thought it was interesting that I could watch people on the street below through an open window in the shower.
I don't know, Barbary Coast was never my favorite place. I remember one time when I was walking by the building, there was this creepy wet guy watching us from a window.
