Well you once again appear to want to be argumentative when your argument has basically been shown to be absurd.

. . .

Your argument makes absolutely no sense and thank God once again, most strongly disagree with you.
Roulette Man- If you don't encourage "it", maybe "it" will go away.
I don't think rewrds are uncommon, I had a friend who was a bounty hunter a while back.

And one more quick one for all us paranoid conspiracy types

LA Times article

The mayor of LA is quoted in an LA Times article that at least 3 people or more might qualify for the reward. Roulette man may be correct, although I agree with drmilled that the money should go to the victims' families.

Agreed. But while you were believing the unsourced rumors, you used those rumors to impugn the LA Board of Supervisors, the mayor of Los Angeles, and the entire state of California.

Care to do the right thing now?

Unbelievable. Did they not take those junkets? Did the mayor not accept all of those prime tickets to sporting events and other art events? Do you care to do the right thing?

The reward, funded in part by taxpayers as taxes to the City of Irvine, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the United States Marshals Service (all of which are funded exclusively by taxes paid by taxpayers) will go to the couple held captive, a tow truck driver, and a ski resort employee.

The carjacked camp ranger will get nothing from this reward funded in part by taxes paid by taxpayers.

You can read the decision about the how the taxes paid by taxpayers will be used in this case here.
Hmmm. I read that 29 different organizations and individuals put up money. BTW, if people in a law organization voluntarily contribute part of their wages or salary to a reward, they you really can't argue that the reward was funded by the taxpayer. It would be the same as stating that my company made a charitable contribution when I write a check to a charity from my checkbook.
