Boston Globe: One marathon bombing suspect in custody, the other on the loose. (as of about 10 min ago.)

According to the Boston Police, Fire, and EMS scanner the suspect wearing the white hat in the photos is in at large.

Fluid situation here.....but I am hearing a major gun battle ensued, one police officer shot, MIT campus and a Boston suburb involved, car chase, one suspect arrested and in custody, and a whole lot of confusion.

Hopefully, when we all wake up in the morning, the scum that perpatrated this horrible crime will either be behind bars.....or laying on a slab of concrete in the morgue.

Fascinating how many sources of information we access to now. Watching cable news, listening to the police scannner, reading a reddit update thread, and even following a twitter conversation between a CNN reporter and somewone who may have gone to school with one of the suspects.

Only reason I am up this late is because I am pumping out a flooded basement.......and watching the various news networks is good for killing time whilst slopping thru the soggy lower floor.

Latest is that law enforcement believes they have suspect #2 (white hat) cornered in the town of Watertown, MA. Said town is under complete lockdown and law enforcement types from all over are converging on that city.

Coming daylight should help them find and dispatch scum #2.

Forgot to mention.....scum #1 and scum #2 knocked off a 7-11, carjacked an innocent motorist, and littered the streets with bombs and IED's.

And killed a police officer and seriously wounded another.

And 3 days earlier, killed 3 innocent people watching a marathon and maimed hundreds of other innocent folk.
