Center strip hotel and pool questions

Every year a dozen old college friends had to Vegas Labor Day Weekend. This will be our 30th trip, and I plan the trip. I'm considering Venetian, Palazoo, Mirage, and Caesars and would like to know which hotel, casino, and pool do you like better? I've stayed at Venetian about three years ago, and Caesars maybe 12 years ago, so I have litte current reference.

We will not consider hotels further than these from our favorite gambling joint, The Casino Royale.

For those familiar with these properties, please give me your thoughts.

Thanks!
Caesar's pool area is really nice, with several options to choose from. I have stayed in the Augustus Tower and the toom was really nice.

Sorry i can't help with the others.

All of them have nice pools (including some that have European sunbathing). I would choose the hotel and casino first.
Ven/Pal, you would not have to cross the street to get to Casino Royale. Also easy access to Wynn/Encore.

Caesars for best rooms (Augustus Tower)and pool.

Mirage casino seemed worn and smelly (cigar and old popcorn) last time there.

Cigars and popcorn. I think you just clinched the deal for a bunch of 50-something-year-old men. lol

If they don't mind them old and stale.
Thanks for the responses guys.

I agree with the idea of not having to cross the street to the Casino Royale from the Venetion properities. I've watched a couple of Youtube videos of the newly renovated Mirage Tower Suites and love them. With 12-14 guys, we always get one suite and a bunch of rooms. That allows the group to use the suite to watch a ball game or two.

I found a Feb 2013 article discussing a Mirage casino floor renovation. Does anyone know if that happened?
You will not be able to get anywhere near the pool at V. It's a hip pool party on weekends with all the rich pretty people.

I love the pool at Caesars, I think it's the largest of your choices and your best hotel choice IMO.
Haven't stayed at Mirage but would say Caesars, hands down. Great hotel and largest and most elegant pool with no pool parties. It's still near Casino Royale while also being the most centrally located of your choices.
At 55 years of age none of us are pretty or hip, and we're certainly not pretty and hip. A few of the boys might be considered rich, however.
