"Analysts from across the political spectrum agree it was the Latino vote that made the difference in 2010 between re-electing Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) and holding the Senate, or losing the seat and potentially losing the Senate. Sen. Reid won a whopping 90 percent of the Latino vote against Republican Sharron Angle, allowing him to win the state by 5 points where polls two days before had him behind Angle by two points. Angle took a hard anti-immigrant line in the election, producing a series of racially charged ads with extremely negative portrayals of immigrants. Sen. Reid’s victory helped the Democrats retain a slim three-seat majority in the Senate."

The reelection of this idiot Reid is just another example of how stupid people are. It is bad enough for American citizens to vote for Reid, much less having the election decided by votes from freeloading illegal aliens.

Let's say we have a state where the constituents believe that blacks should again not be able to vote. In fact, the constituents believe that uppity blacks should be legally hung. When the Democrat Senator from this state goes to Washington, is he doing his democratic job to vote for hanging blacks? I think not, but apparently Forkie does.


An outstanding leader votes for what is righteous and correct, regardless of the constituents beliefs. This leader does his best to convince the voters to embrace the correct path.

Harry Reid, on the other hand, licks his finger and puts it into the air to test the political winds. This may common in American politics, but that does not make it righteous or correct.

Boilerman, you don't know constitutional rights cannot be overturned by laws? Really?

And if you want to criticize your fictional "Democrat Senator" for his votes, or Harry Reid for his, that's fair. But to infer that it's wrong for a representative to vote a certain way simply because it benefits his constituents means that you oppose basic democratic principles. Yeah DonDiego, even if those constituents are American citizens of Mexican descent.
