Cluck

My in-laws neighbors have a chicken farm and along with poultry they also do eggs, well they aren't allowed to sell the oversized double yolk eggs (big brother watching out for our best interests) so they always have an overabundance of these eggs and of course give them away to people they know. The in-laws were down this weekend and brought yet another few trays of eggs, geez, haven't even finished the last batch. Interesting in that, for whatever reason, these straight from the farm eggs last forever ,they never seem to spoil. Anyhoo, thought I'd share at just how big these eggs are. The white egg is your ordinary extra large store bought ariety.

And in unrelated kitchen news since I'm wasting a thread anyway. This was/is a block of cheese I had forgotten about from way back at the end of may, I had read a tip somewhere about wrpping cheese in foil and it lasts longer. Well I did and I'll be damned if it wasn't as fresh and soft as the day I put it in there. I'm still eating on it today.

Cheese tip O' the day..

John,
those eggs in the pan look really fresh and delicious.

...... and what's the deal with the double-yolk eggs ? .... why can't they be sold ???

I'd just love to buy me some of those.

Rick
I bet they'd taste really good with some of that illegal raw milk.

I'd love to buy double yolk too. The yolk is the best part.

I have been trying to find out why people will pay more for brown eggs than white eggs. They are the same on the inside. I also was unaware that double yolks could not be sold.
Yolkels.
I have no clue why double yolkers can't be sold but I'm cool with it. Dinner for me tonight..

YUMMERS!

Brown eggs are fresher because they are local.
The white eggs are more from the big egg producers and are shipped in.
