Computer nerd help!

Try GOOGLE'ing "no signal" on my screen when booting up.

There are some possible problem resolutions.

Snidely, it was a joke, sorry it was in reference to teh movie "top secret" and there's a scene where..oh never mind, you'd have to see it. My apologies sir.

BTW I've no problem popping cases and replacing components, no biggie.
When my Windows 7 PC hibernates, I get no signal until I click my mouse to wake up my computer.

I'm thinking it's your video card.

Open device manager and see if there are any yellow symbols on any of the components.

You might also run windows update. Just open internet explorer. Click on tools, windows update and see if there are any new drivers out there. You don't have to install the optional updates which are mainly different languages when I run it.
If you have a cable connection, which I assume you do, maybe it's the cable company. Why don't you call them and press the button for internet support. I'm no genius about these things, but if it's happening to a new computer, it sounds like a connection problem. What about the cable modem? Other than the cable connection, the modem is the only thing the two PC's have in common!
