You know the interesting thing is you really don't see how much you discredit your reputation when you continue stupid charades like this.
It's rather silly to fixate on the word "officially" and annoying to shift the whole discussion to a debate about the meaning of "officially". It was clear at the time of the original post and it's clear now that the owners of the Cosmo were seriously shopping the property and really wanted to sell it. My feeling is the mood in 2008 was "we should see if anyone wants to buy the Cosmo" and lately it's shifted to "we need to sell this property, ASAP". It doesn't take a motivated seller 6 years to sell a brand new casino so clearly the level of motivation increased.
