Cow meat? Lobster? Gimme a PORK CHOP,por favor!

The best I ever had was at the Nascar Café. Gone, now. That was in 2006.
Told the wait person,"This is the best pork chop I ever had!"
"They are good, aren't they",he casually replied.

Maybe the Sahara has the same buyer and chef.
I guess Ellis Island is one choice,Binions may be another.
Top of the Stratosphere,Magnolia's,The Plaza or another PRIME PORK PLACE.

There are some local ..uhhhh.. Pig farms that the chefs choose for the best piggy's.
It's still a steak.
It was just melt in your mouth...good.
The "other" white meat?
Pork burritos, tostadas, honey glazed ham with bacon slabs? Corn on the cob, string beans, buttered broccoli..
Sweet and sour pork?Pulled pork on a bun w/ BBQ sauce?

Oh,baby!
I'm all over this.
If you ain't drooling,I must be foolin'.
About 5 years ago, my wife and I went to Ellis Island. I had the Steak special and my wife ordered pork chops.

When the waiter brought out her pork chop, we initially thought he brought out the wrong item (it didn't look like any pork chop we had ever eaten before). It was about 1/4 inch thick and was mostly bone and gristle with very little edible meat.

We cook pork chops at home and get them boneless about 3/4 of inch thick with little fat. I cook them on the grill and they are delicious. Their offering was the nothing remotely close to this.

Besides the nearly inedible chop, with the smoke, and the mostly non-English speaking wait staff that day, I've never been able to get my wife to go back there, although I go to gamble solo and to eat on many of my solo trips, but usually stick with the steak special.

If you ever want to eat the best pork chops ever, go to "Jocko's" in Nipomo, CA. These chops are grilled over oak logs and are about 2 inches thick...no lie.....and you get two of them. Steaks are probably the best you'll ever eat. Years ago, the steak was so tender that they didn't even give you a steak knife to cut the meat, only a butter knife. It's basically a one stop light town and if you blink you'll miss it! Located in central Calif. right before Pismo Beach. UMMMMM!
During one of my visits to LV, The Rizzo clan grilled out, think the ribs and pork came from Sam's Club... was good eating... Roscoe got the bones, got BBQ sauce on the carpet. Was good food and great times.

Went to Rao's at Ceasers Palace for some food when i was last in Vegas with the wife.

Had had steak for the entire holiday and just fancied something different. Had the Pork Chop in there and it was amazing - one of the best meals of the trip and we ate at some really nice places.

I really dont like Ceasers Palace but it was reccomended to us suprisingly by conceirge at The Bellagio where we were staying for the week.

I was going to try Magnolia's or the Plaza.
I don't do much sight seeing or gambling on the strip, anyway.
If we get near Caesar's Rao's I will dine there. 10 more days to Las Vegas!

You know the sad thing is that these places probably produce roasted chicken that is out of this world. I regularly eat chicken (along with fish) and can't bring myself to order it when I go to a nice restaurant. I usually want steak, veil, or lamb.

HA! I know what you mean, I never ever consider ordering chicken let alone pork chops when evr we go to a restaurant, its always beef for me. Nothing better than a big ol' slab of prime rib or a nice thick fillet all cooked med. rare so nice and red, mmm..yummy.

It's interesting because I do like chicken and pork, eat a lot of it at home. A coupla months I had a big pork tenderloin and felt really lazy about cooking that night so I wrapped the loin in foil with a jar of plum sauce(bought in the chinese section of grocery store) with some garlic, ginger and a coupla scallions and roasting in the foil for 30 mins or so, unwrapped and broiled to put a glaze on it and it turned phenomenal for a lazy mans dinner. It's now on my "lazy cooking list" and have made it a few times since, wife and son really dig it.
