Dancer's Column July 30

Did the scammer become the scammee?

Of course that cannot be the case. Wins $1200 and over are hand-pays, and are issued W2-G's at the time of payment.
Since he flew in, I doubt he had any markers with the casino.

He has become very flaky lately with what happened with his former wife and now this.
Part 2 is now posted.

After reading Part 2, my opinion of Mr. Dancer has degenerated significantly.

That does not mean I will boycott his columns, writings, lessons, etc, as long as they are free, and I do not enrich him in anyway whatever. I'll learn whenever and wherever I can if it helps me to improve or enrich myself.

My opinion of those who claimed Dancer was engaged in a tax avoidance scam has degenerated significantly.

LOL, why is this not a surprise? I guess it is honor amongst thieves. I think it was a very valuable point that Mr. Dancer may have been trying to avoid taxes.

Could you repeat that again wkjomo, and maybe type a little slower next time. Apparently some folks here need edification.

As already noted, cashing a ticket never triggers a W2-G, regardless of the amount.

I'm confused about Dancer's discussion of cash back and mailers, which were to be collected later by the accomplice. Using an accomplice to redeem rewards is blatantly against casino rules as far as I know. I'm surprised Dancer would admit to it.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding.

And, he than goes on to admit that he telephoned the casino, to make certain his "benefits" could not be collected by his accomplice.

I wonder whether he explained why. Or whom he is a.k.a. OR that he was exploiting a weakness in the promotion.

And than goes on to say he does not usually snitch, as he's been previously accused of by some APers.

He won "about" $7500. (The $5K he mentions, plus the $2500 TITO)

IMHO, he's a petty, vindictive person. To contact the casino and freeze his account and the missed mailers and cash back is beyond my grasp.

Well, what goes around eventually comes around.

Pure sleaze, IMHO.

Ha! A convicted drug dealer who has stolen from at least two other people, goes and steals $2,200 from Dancer, and you think Bob is too tough on him?
