Digital tv it was supposed to be better????

Don't get me wrong, when the weather is nice, the picture is great. However, the damn thing gets pixelated beyond belief. I can't even watch the local news or Jeopardy.

We never had that on analog....

This predominantly weather-related phenomenon can be alleviated significantly by relocation to, f'rinstance, Tombstone, AZ.
However, the recurrent Spring and Fall "Sun Outages", where the Sun aligns with the broadcast satellite for brief intervals, cannot be avoided within the United States.

DonDiego recalls when he enjoyed The Howdy Doody Show, Andy's Gang, and Roland's Shock Theater out of Philadelphia on analog TV. Ahh, . . . those were the days.
You never had to stand in just the right spot, and hold the rabbit ears in the perfect position in order to watch the Sunday football game?
I moved away from Satellite several years back because of the this problem. We get tornado's near by several times a year, and just as it get's close, I would lose radar coverage on TV.

It's good when it's good, however, and it's cheaper than cable.

Do you have satellite or cable? No weather related problems with cable.

No, no, no..one only had to add some foil to the ears for improved reception. Am I the only one who knew this trick?

I was wondering that also. We have directv and its been pretty reliable for us, it will only go out if a really bad torrential downpour hits, then its only for a few minutes til the storm center passes. I think the longest it ever went out is 15 minutes or so. It sounds like your dish needs relocated Tony(assuming you have a dish)
On another note about directv, we've had some major problems/conflicts concerning billing with them and if it weren't for sunday ticket, would've ditched them a while back.
There is no perfect reception system. DirecTV, with it's fabulous Sunday Ticket, is the best all around, except for the clueless customer no service dept. they run. When you have a problem you have to "axe" dem da question three times before they tune into the fact that you called for a reason.

I'm thinking he's just got a digital TV antenna and local stations.
