Dinner At Benihana's!

I think Shogun is better than Benihana, they have one down in Kerney Mesa and San Marcos.

I don't care for the San Marcos location, but we used to have a blast at the Kerney Mesa location, lots of Chargers players frequented the place (not sure if they still do). I had my pic taken with Drew Brees, we just missed having him sit at our table.

While I enjoyed the food, I got sick of the same "tricks" over and over again. I can only see the volcano so many times, along with flipping the salt shaker into the top of the chefs hat, OH and I can't forget, making the fried rice into a heart or Mickey Mouse.

We have a Shogun in Pasadena.

I kind of agree with you on the antics. It is kind of like flair bartenders whereby I don't need all of the antics of throwing the bottles around. Unfortunately unless you have a group that occupies the whole table you can't ask them to just do away with it and prepare your meal.

It's a fun place for families. A friend with children says her kids ask to go to the chop chop place. Quality of the food is average.

If you like Teppan without too many theatrics and great food, even Prime beef, try Shibuya at MGM. Sinful.
