Funny, that was the first thing that came to mind for me when I saw this thread! Nothing against the mouse empire itself, the parks are fun (in small doses), but if I NEVER see or hear another Disney cruise ship again it'll be too soon! We had one of their ships "stalking" us through the Caribbean on our last cruise. They visited almost all the same ports we did for the whole trip, arrived an hour or two after we did at each stop and docked beside us at most of them. How do you know a Disney ship is on it's way in to port? Easy, the ship's horns play a bar of "It's A Small world" pretty much every time they sound. Then you hear the screaming, shrieking, and crying of all the young 'uns who have clearly been sent up on deck by their parents (cause they couldn't stand to listen to their kids anymore). Of course there's also the non stop kids "entertainment" - Disney's greatest hits playing at max volume on all their decks from pretty much dawn til well after dusk. "Hakuna Matata" my butt - by the third port I was looking for a torpedo salesman! I can't imagine any sane person choosing one of those hellships for a holiday. All I know is that we didn't bother with breakfasts or evening cocktails on our balcony any time we were in port along with the mouseboat - and since that is one of my favorite things to do on a cruise it takes a lot to make me give up those treats! But the Disney ship managed to make me skip it for the whole cruise. Damn you, Mickey!
