Do people still use cash?

I use credit cards for gasoline, grocery shopping, fast food, etc. and just realized only when I plan a casino trip do I need to go to the bank to get cash. Who still uses cash?

I pay the guy who mows my lawn with cash, but that's about it. I don't like carrying cash because wherever I go, someone has to approach with their story to try to get me to give them some cash. And I like being able to honestly answer that I have no cash on me.

DonDiego uses cash when he is engaging in a transaction which he would prefer were not recorded anywhere.

I still use cash here and there. I still like having a few bucks in my wallet, however I find I spend more money if I have the cash. So maybe it's a good thing that I don't carry much money.

I use cash to trade in for chips when playing craps, blackjack, etc.....just sayin'.

Will be using cash for just this reason in seven days while in Vegas.

Lots of us still use mostly cash. Don't try getting a steak at Peter Luger with a Visa.

Always like to have some cash in pocket. It acts as a "security blanket".

Credit or debit doesn't seem the same....kind of like casino chips.

As a rule, if the tab is under $10, I pay cash. Everything else is plastic.

Lots of Financial Advisors will tell you to tear up your credit cards because it will make you spend less.
To me thats like telling you to throw out your silverware so you will eat less.

I save all my loose change and cash it in at the end of each year. Several years ago that would yield about $400. Its gone down each year since. I dont think I'll break $100 this year.
