DonDiego's Tomato Ranch

Don't believe a word of it. Those must be old photos (and DD really is old and poor now). We all know from our wonderful press that we are in the midst of armageddon. The drought encompassing every last inch of the US has doomed anything green to an ugly brown death. With this awful global warming now ravaging the our country only a few of us will survive.

The EPA is shutting down power plant after power plant but it is obviously too late. Time to scavenge a few worms for breakfast before they too die horrible deaths.

Or .... or .... maybe we've all been lied too ?????

https://wattsupwiththat.com/2012/07/29/press-release-2/

The hysteria about warming has been exaggerated twofold. In fact, the drought we are experiencing is not as bad as many in the last 100 years including the 1930s, 1950s and 1980s. While those going without rain this year will have to deal with the financial loss, it is nothing that hasn't happen over and over again in the past.

Whew, maybe DD really isn't that old.

Well, . . . when they's cookin' possum in a pot o'er a campfire folks up heh's likely to say somethin' like: "A Man Is Only As Old As The Woman He Feels."
Oh, and by the way, . . . a man's Sunday A-ccoutrements don't include bluejeans 'roud heh'.

Does Don Diego ever squeeze (or fondle) the tomatos?

You do realize you're relying on the word of a former teevee weatherman with no discernible scientific training (or even an AA degree from a junior college) who take money from the the Exxon funded Heartland Institute.

And you believe in this guy....why?

The money from Heartland is for 2012 and is for a graphical interface to NOAA data (sorry no money before that for the work on temperatures that this paper is based on). So, your comment is just plain silly. But, since you can't refute the science why would anyone expect anything more from you?

Of course, you forgot to consider that climate scientist Dr. John Christy is also one of the authors. Must have slipped your mind ... chuckle, chuckle.

You must be feeling pretty foolish about now.

A for real climate scientist co-authored a paper with a former teevee weatherman - Koch/Exxon funded - possible high school graduate - blogger??? I'm guessing it's because the research couldn't survive peer review in a legit journal.

And you believe in these guys - why?
HEY !

KNOCK IT OFF ! ! !

This thread is 'bout poor old DonDiego, . . . not some global warming crap !

'Afore one knows it, som'body's gonna say it's PO-lit-i-cal.

I'll let you know when it gets published and the TV weatherman can then claim to have TWO published, peer-reviewed papers. How many do you have Forkie?

The TV weatherman organized the survey of the 1000s of weather stations in this country. Do you really think it takes a science degree to do that? Or, are you just fearful of the results? As if we didn't know.

The climate scientist provided much of the technical assessment. A statistician was also involved to make sure the math was correct (unlike many erroneous papers by alarmist climate scientists).

BTW, why would you care who funded the effort? (It was unfunded, btw) Wouldn't you be more interested in whether their science was correct?

OK, enough said. Back to throwing tomatoes at DD.

Yes, he had a total of one paper published by the Journal of Geophysical Research which was subsequently debunked by...the Journal of Geophysical Research! Ain't peer review great!

Oh, and he's listed as a resident "expert" by the Heartland Institute, which back in the day, was paid by Big Tobacco to deny the harmful effects of smoking. And wouldn't you know, back then they even found some "scientists" to play the role of cancer deniers.

Even if they paid you, would you seriously consider associating with people like that?

If you've got a tomato ranch, you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen.
