Don't you hate when you order food at a drive through and find it is missing when you sit to eat.

My local Checkers screwed up my drivethru order 8 years ago and left out the french fries. I've never been back.

There is a Wendy's right next to them; they share the driveway. I ordered a chicken sandwich at Wendy's from the drivethru and the order taker guy said it would be a 6 minute wait. I said that was fine. The guy was so apologetic and offered me a free drink while I waited.

Chickfila just opened up a quarter mile from Wendy's. Been there once when they first opened for my first taste of Chickfila. Chickfila is good but I don't go there for political reasons. That and they stop serving breakfast at 10:30.

My thing is the coffee - cream only................half the time someone puts 4 sugars into it.............I now hold up the line till I take a sip. When I discover sugar in it and hand it back, I NEVER hear an apology, although sometimes he/she says, "Oh really?" Burger King is the place where I get most mistakes in my orders. McDonalds is usually okay except for an occasional missed hash brown.

My best option: Travel mug of starbucks from home, and toasted english muffin wrapped in foil to take to work. My order is always right when I make it!
Burger King the other night.....
I ordered a #1 with cheese, lettuce and mayonnaise only.
I looked at it before I left the window....I got a burger with lettuce and mayonnaise but no cheese.
The guy said, "you said lettuce and mayonnaise only".

I love it when my buddy pulls up to the box and says, "I want a regular hamburger, onion and tomato only" and the goof asks, "You want cheese on that?".

Lucky for them there are many paper hats to fill.

Please, please do not go there.
Let's keep this one on a basic incompetence level on the part of employees.

Personally, McDonald's and Wendy's almost always get my order right.
Burger King, it's 50-50. I always ask to hold the mayonnaise. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.
I eat it regardless, it won't kill me (at least in the short term).
Do not want to see good food thrown in the trash because of a condiment.

Please, please do not go there.........Exactly. I would go to chicwhatever for something to eat, myself.
I do mystery shops where I go to a place and evaluate the service and quality of food.

I've done Jack in the Box, McDonalds and Sonic and many full service restaurants to include upscale places ($150 reimbursement for my meal).

McDonald's is the strictest on their requirements and about half I've done I have to special order my sandwich, no lettuce, no may etc.

I've really been impressed with the carhops at the Sonic restaurant chain for service and friendliness. I'd rate some of their attention to detail and service better at times than what I've received at upscale places.

Jack in the Box and McDonald's employees seem to be more mechanical, unhappy and impersonal.

And remember, you can talk to a manager to point out good service as well as bad service. I guarantee you'll make the employee's day.
