DONUTS!

In the northeast Dunkin donuts is huge. Where I live (Rhode Island) they are every couple of miles or less. there is one place where there's two about 1000' apart. Back in the day each store made their own doughnuts and the ad campaign was the harried little baker with the line "Time to make the doughnuts" So if you happened to be around at 4:00 am you could get a hot one. Good stuff! They aren't worth the calories now however.
In a few of the Stations Casinos, they used to have a Krispy Kreme franchise, but I haven't seen any lately. In California, almost all of the KK stores have closed and Stater Bros. supermarket which used to carry them have now stopped carrying them. I really don't understand what happened to the franchise.
Dunkin' Donuts are EVERYWHERE here in Massachusetts (where they started).

If there is not a stand-alone operation, then they are set up in gas stations.

I live in a rural town, and on my way to work I pass 5.

I think it's their coffee and Iced Coffee more than anything else that now makes them famous.

I always see people at work or on the road holding a DD cup.

OH, ................. AND BTW, I LEAVE FOR VEGAS IN 11 HOURS
