That energy conservation is a national security issue has been agreed to by the last three Republican and Democratic presidential nominees (at least), so it's not exactly a controversial issue. And I love technology, especially the results of our federal government's investment in DARPA.

And I'm not a fan of symbolic crap like turning your lights off, or for that matter, marching and demonstrating. Mostly, I find those things ineffectual and silly.

But turning on all your lights is just infantile.

No, it's a statement. When all we get out of the media is silly propaganda repeated constantly then some of us need to point out the hypocrisy and outright lies that are being used to an end. If you're too stupid to understand what's going on I can't help you.
