Doctor, what extra precautions are you taking at your office?

He's wearing a protective mask.

Boiler made no such claim of 1 million deaths. It was an hypothetical example. I thought that everyone would understand this, yet I was apparently incorrect.

I'd much rather contract Ebola than DrMilled's anger management disorder. Its good to enjoy life while you have it.

When Boilerman's unscientific and outrageous claim of 1 million Americans getting infected with Ebola comes true I will be happy to admit I was wrong. Tell ya what....if even 10 people in AMerica get Ebola from a native source I will admit I was wrong. I don't expect any of our resident fear mongers to admit they were wrong when their Zombie Apocalypse prediction turns out to be a massive farce. If history is any guide they will simply move onto another Sky-is-Falling prediction based on no evidence.

"if even 10 people in America get Ebola from a native source I will admit I was wrong"

We have 2 this week

The nurse contracted it from the patient....and is there another one I dont know about? Let me know when it hits 10 and I'll declare a national emergency that requires everyone to hide in their tornado shelters until it all passes.

PJ - making light of this serious situation only reenforces your twisted logic and foolish viewpoints. Do everyone a favor , desist from commenting about things you obviously don't understand and leave the rational thinking to the adults.

Yes. A second health care worker at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, TX.
First we were told that Ebola had little chance of coming here. Then we were told the hospitals & CDC were prepared.

Now we know that isn't true & the CDC is led by the clown who was in charge of making sure NYC restaurants had the proper listing of meal calories on the menus

The head of the CDC is having to split his role with that of the Surgeon General because ...well...we don't have a Surgeon General. Why not? Ask Republicans in Congress who wont allow the president to appoint one.

Or ask Democrats in the Senate.

"Senate aides said Friday [14 March 2014] that as many as 10 Democrats are believed to be considering a vote against Dr. Murthy, who has voiced support for various gun control measures like an assault weapons ban, mandatory safety training and ammunition sales limits.
The troubled nomination is the latest setback for a president who has struggled to get his nominees past members of his own party, even after Democrats changed filibuster rules to prevent repeated Republican blockades of Mr. Obama’s choices for cabinet jobs. Dr. Murthy is one of four nominees who has run into trouble this month after some Democrats have balked."
Ref: The New York Times

DonDiego knows The Obama would prefer to "appoint" a Surgeon General, as pjstroh states. But, in accordance with the US Constitution, the Surgeon General is nominated by the President of the United States and confirmed by a majority vote of the Senate.
Thus, it is the job of the Senate to approve or disapprove Presidential nominees. The Senate is doing its job. Perhaps, if a nominee cannot receive Senate approval in almost a year, it would be wise to nominate someone else.
