I think he meant to type 'fried'.

We have them all over my home in Cali. Very good for fast food. "Healthier" ala Chipotle but they don't play it up like that. More "real" Mexican. Should do well in markets with big Mexican population. Read the IPO was coming in IBD, but never followed up.
I think we have one, some pollo loco chicken place of some sort up in town. I say maybe because there;s been an explosion of mexican/honduran/guatemalan chciken joints that have opened up here. Can't swing a dead cat w/o hitting some kind of "pollo" somethin' or other. It really pissed me off that our favorite vietnamese place was replaced by yet another one of these spanish chicken joints.
The chicken is NOT fried.

jakti99 finds ANOTHER reason to always be pissed.

Oh, and bonus points to him for not knowing that Spanish and Mexican are different words.
Seems like years ago El Pollo Loco was a highly recommended penny stock.
Don't waste your time. There are better places out there.
There was an article a few years back that mentioned how their chicken is so tasty due to the skin being rubbed in melted beef tallow before cooking. I liked it up to that point.
