The krew I surf with is almost all Philippineo. They all met in college through a Philippineo fraternity. (for more racial stereotyping, most of them grew up in Hawaii and moved to the mainland to go to college.) As a group, and its a big group, they sponsor one family a year to immigrate to the U.S. My wife handles the legal end as part of her pro bono work.
