it was only a couple weeks ago when Detroit residents were upset about having their water turned off. Mother nature has answered.

4 inches of rain in one day (thats like getting 3.5 feet of snow). Yikes. I hope sundrop lives on the 2nd floor.

way too much water. Major highways still closed and probably will be for a few days. Michigan department of transportation have not periodically check the huge water pumps for the freeways and the copper has been stolen from them which probably helped contribute to the flooding. General Motors Tech center Chrysler Sterling Stamping have been shut down for a day or two. In my area it feels ltrapped sort of but you go 10 miles away and the people think your nuts. I-696 was built like a big ditch, it goes east to west runs like a ditch with a tall tall berm on each side from St. Clarir Shores to Southfield MI. It's totally filled with water looks like a main river. Thousands of cars use this daily. My family thankfully had just a little bit of water in their homes. wdiv.com has some good pics and videos.

I guess it's pouring everywhere. Here in Vaand Md many places got upwards of 6". I saw video of BWI parking where cars had water up to their roofs. Can you imagine what a pissser that'd be to get off your plane just having a great vacation and find your car underwater?

On a personal note, basement got water in it yet again, always fun. Guess I really do need an extra sup pump, thought I had this taken care of.

Looks like the same storm! Sorry to read about the water in basement we just had minor cleanup. Tired. Husband is going to get up at midnight to try to make it to work(ohio) try to beat the gridlock on whatever roads are still opened and not flooded. Highways still closed.

It started here in good ol New Hampshire on my way in to work. I guess we are supposed to get a good one, but no where near what Detroit and Baltimore got.
