Gambling Topics

It has become a mess with the inmates running the asylum
I think people have been voting with their feet. Pretty soon the only ones left will be McMurphy, Harding, Cheswick, Martini and Chief without Nurse Ratched to keep them in line.
The paid side does not have the political threads (if thats what you object to). But posting on the paid side is much reduced from what it used to be. Political threads were banned on the free forum for a long time...and posting decreased dramatically...and now they are back with the same complaints as before. They dont bother me.

Some regular subscribers left this board and started their own Vegas Message Board. Posting there is about as frequent here.

The fact is message boards in general are no longer the first stop for people looking for information. Yelp, Tripadvisor, Facebook, and Urbanspoon are the preferred sources today. You can come on here and get feedback from someone who stayed at the Cosmopolitan 3 months ago.....or you can go to Yelp and see reviews from 20 people who have stayed there within the past 2 weeks. But I still like this site. The newsletter and coupons still have lots of good info...and so does the occasional poster.

Well from the title of this thread, "Gambling Topics",
I thought this might be an interesting thread that was about gambling, with even maybe some Las Vegas talk.

But I guess it's just one more thread that's not about gambling.

........... Fun to Read Though

Rick

I understand the point and it has gotten to be a bit much lately. I don't care to get on here and see five new threads bitching about this or that, but it's not because it's a Vegas forum per se, it's because there really isn't any need to wake up and bitch about something new everyday, turn on limbaugh or maher for that their daily bitch. However, discussing certain current events, Obamacare for instance, proved to be a really good thread that a lot of people contributed to. Should that be banned? Did some go to far(as usual)?, sure, but get 200 or whatever replys that's gonna happen. If everyone was civil about talking with each other, it wouldn't be that big of a problem.

The easiest solution is to have a pol. forum on here, plain and simple. Those who don't want to read..don't.

J

BTW When someone saying there's 1000's of places to talk about any current events(or anything pol.) on the net would be correct but when's the last time you tried to have a conversation with 5000 strangers?

I will try to add a "gambling" question. When was the last time anyone hit a royal flush?? years for myself. Don't play VP much anymore, typically an hour or each visit. Have only had one in my lifetime.

Thats one more than me. 10+ years of going to Vegas. Lots of 4OAK's and even a couple straight flushes. No Royals. I'm due =) And I've been saying I'm due for 5 years.

This is the most intelligent statement that I've read here in years !!!!!

Rick
I've only played VP a coupla times and best I've done is 4oak I believe, playing at the bar with my wife was really just entertainment value for us. I'm pretty much a tables only guy. I used to like to play slots but now they're no fun whatsoever..put in 20 bucks..gone..put in 20 bucks..gone..lather rinse repeat.
