I am sure we can catch Mississippi, but Louisiana will be tough to beat.

I regard these numbers as a measure of "Southern Charm".

I've always loved The South. I guess I need to be careful, as The South may love me back too much.

AAs get gonorrhea 20x more often than whites and 8x more often than Hispanics. AAs get syphilis 8x more often than whites and 3x more often than Hispanics.

So "churchgoers" in the Bible Belt are all white? So African Americans are not "churchgoers"? Didn't know that.

You thought you were pointing out hypocrisy of those in the Bible Belt. To be more specific I suspect you were referring to white fundamentalist hypocrisy. I rebutted your claim of hypocrisy by pointing out that the high % of African-Americans in the South is the overwhelming reason why the std rate is higher there. You can clearly see the high correlation in the link below and the link in the original post. Sorry I rained on your liberal parade.

You mean that poor people, with less access to healthcare and prophylactics, are more likely to contract STDs and less likely to get them diagnosed and treated? Alert the media!

And of course children victimized by abstinence only sex education are more likely to contract sexually transmitted diseases. So the ignorant bible thumpers, both black and white, are adding to the problem.

I suspect that poor blacks are more likely to get STD's than poor whites, but Forkie doesn't provide proof one why or the other. I would love to see a well done study, however.

Dude, you suspect every black person walking down the street, which is why you advocate police profiling based on skin color, right? It must be terrifying to live inside your skin.

And do you remember how esteskefauver described what he does when he arrives home? - driving around the block a few times and spinning around to make sure the coast is clear. That's how you enter Fallujah, not your own home.

But I guess racial racial panic means never having to say your brave.

Meanwhile, there's conclusive evidence that abstinence sex education, just like baby jesus prescribed, leads to a higher incidence of STDs - and teen pregnancies.
