Good catch. There's a clue in itself. We don't send out notices with misused words like that except for rare mistakes that get immediately corrected. I don't know what happened, but that's not a message that we have programmed anywhere. We'll see if we can track it down. There was never any barring.

Yes that is the exact message.

Note: DonDiego did not copy this message on 11 August. He did not remember the exact message today. But today when anthony stated there was no banning and before he attempted to post, DonDiego first tried to send a private message. And the "banning message" appeared, so he copied it.

The message comprised three lines of black letters on a grey background. The word Reason: was boldface centered on the second line of the message.
"than" was misspelled.
There was no period after the second sentence.
DonDiego thought the word "his" was suspicious if it was, in fact, a standard banning message.

DonDiego thanks all those who declared their support for teechur and him. And he also thanks those who professed their support for DonDiego's Being banned, as they sincerely believe he has violated Forum rules.
As DonDiego's uncle used to say: "Wouldn't it be dull if everyone was a trombone player?"

DonDiego would like to debate whatever comes up in this forum with civility and respect, . . . but, in any case, . . . "cain't we all jes' git along together":

DD, I have 6 words for you.

Damn

Glad

to

see

you

bud!

Well allrighty then and as roseanne rosadanna stated above, NEVER MIND! and mostly, WELCOME BACK Mr Diego and look forward to continue good posting by you and Teechur!

JOHN

Translation:
The guy I hired to moderate my forum followed my rules. However, I forget to tell him Don Diego was exempt from my rules, and that we were only targeting left leaning political thread starters. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

Sincerely,
The Chevy Volt Forum Staff

Yeah, you're all over it.
OK....I'm a tad embarrassed. Like when you're somewhere with a group of people and make a witty closing exit line and walk away into the sunset....and then you forget your purse/jacket and have to walk back in past everyone to get it! (I even emailed the LVA Moderator about being banned...my feelings were hurt. lol)

Yes, we BOTH got that message (and I did think it was weird that I was called "he"). We both could NOT post, start a thread, or send a Private Message. This is a mystery indeed.

Anyway....enough of this junk! Time to go watch some FOOTBALL! (Any football, even pre-season football, is good football, imo)
teechur and DD, welcome back!

Much adieu about doo doo.
I have read all of the replies, up to this posting. I believe we can all agree that if Anthony wishes that there be no political postings - so be it. Political postings can and do become confrontational. The Las Vegas Advisor blogs are supposed to about Vegas. The one thing that I fully don't understand is that after one begins reading a posting, they will know immediately if it is political or not. From that point on it is their choice if they wish to continue reading. I do believe that Anthony and his staff do not read every posting, and therefore these others must notify him or his staff if someone has posted anything that can be considered political. Those who make these notifications apparently would prefer to complain to the Advisor staff rather than stop reading a posting that they know to be political. When I read a posting that I don't like or have no interest in, I quit reading it. Does that mean that since I am not in favor of a postings content that every such posting should be barred from being posted? Since Anthony has decried that there shall be no more political postings, I will abide by his wishes. I, and everyone else, have the right to read whatever we like. I feel that this whole business is, in essence, much ado about nothing.
