No gondolas man, NO GONDOLAS. If you want to ride a fucking gondola so bad, go to the Venetian..

I may be wrong, but it seems most of your questions are based on the assumption that the wheel stops to load each car/pod/gondola. I believe it is in constant motion, with people getting on and off by stepping into the moving car. This is the explanation used for the Singapore Flyer:
