I agree and I agree. More precisely what I should have said was that if you want to allow cruel and unusual punishment, you'll need to amend the Constitution.

I'd like to see some more 'unusual' punishments that aren't 'cruel'. That's just how I roll. Should be ok since the document clearly states 'Cruel AND Unusual' .

So for example...instead of whacking a poor guys fingers off for stealing, I'd have them surgically removed and frozen...and then reattached at the end of his sentence.

Interesting concept, especially if it was used on rapists (and I'm not talking about taking fingers off).

Really what these types need is some TLC and guidance so they can rehabilitate to be contributing members of society.

Yeah, if Eric and Dylan had just had more love and guidance, they wouldn't have walked through their high school shooting people in the head, and laughing at the fun of it. Poor misguided and unloved little boys. Just a little bit more love, or maybe a smidgen of guidance.
