I am tired of it.

Really?

  • Has Keith Olbermann ever made fun of a Michael J. Fox's Multiple Sclerosis symptoms?
  • Has Rachel Maddow ever called a president a "Halfrican" or similar?
  • Has Chris Matthews ever called a woman advocating for free birth control pills a "slut."

And have any of them forced their maid to help them get illegal drugs?

    Got False Equivalence?

  • Chris Matthews has called whites "crackers" and made fun of homosexuals.

Keith Olbermann was so out of line he got fired.

Maddow has used the term "wetbacks".

Seriously, you are defending someone advocating suicide (which you jumped in and supported) because of someone's speech. Yet another irrelevant, straw man response from Forkie. Maybe some day you can get something with a little bit of subtance.

Let's see, you got nothing on Olbermann, a remark from Matthews that he apologized for, and Rachel Maddow quoting a racial slur by a Republican Congressman.

And any of that is even close to Rush's making fun of Michael J. Fox's Multiple Sclerosis? Or forcing your maid to help in procuring illegal drugs?

The phrase False Equivalence doesn't do your words justice, Roulette Man.

Oh, and I agree with you that no one should hope that someone to commits suicide. But no one should just make shit up when they get cranky about it either.
More diversion from Forkie. I guess Olbermann should have never been fired.

The premise is that I don't listen to any of them and that I would never advocate that any of them should go out and hang themselves.

Funny how Forkie can never directly address anything but gives us weak straw man arguments.
Forkush and Roulette Man, can you two lovebirds take it to a hotel room if you can't actually stay on topic of the OP? As little as I care for albeadle's hardheartedness in the face of tragedy, his views on the cruel irony of someone who brought so much joy to the world taking his own life out of sheer misery deserve to be expressed and discussed.

I was responding DIRECTLY to your statement, "Similar to Rush, the others are entertainers and will say virtually anything...," and simply pointing out that you were engaging in false equivalence.

And that's the polite word for it.

No, you tried to justify PJ's statement that Rush should go commit suicide was okay. The funny thing is when we peel a few layers from Forkie we see there is a very dark side and not the compassionate person you somehow think you are.
PTSD did exist after WWII...they called it shell shock. It wasn't reported as frequently because less was known about it, and treatment was almost non-existent...Medical science is making new discoveries all the time...not to annoy you, but rather because people want to know what causes things that and how to either treat them or learn to cope with them. I for one hope the discoveries continue. You never know when a cure for something you may consider frivolous (like restless leg syndrome) may lead to a cure for something bigger, like Parkinson's. You're lucky, you seem to be blessed with perfect health...physically anyway. k

Can you imagine the mess if this phoney PTSD were around when all our heroes came home from the hand-to-hand combat horrors of WWII?

My wife works in a school system and she says autism has become a default diagnosis.

That's not what I intended, but it's a fair criticism, and it might have made for an interesting discussion.

But when you compare Limbaugh's actions, like making fun of Michael J. Fox's MS symptoms, with anything Maddow or Olbermann have ever done, that's just completely and utterly dishonest.

I guess that's just your nature.
