I phone4

I can upgrade my phone to an IP4 if I want. My wife went to the ATT store with our sonand discovered she could upgrade so she did. I'm hesitant because I like the phone I have(I like the keyboard) and figure we can use hers for whenever we travel so that's covered. I dunno, call me old school but I'm really considering thinking a of taking a pass. I must say, I was extremely in the hated, anti-texting crowd at one time, but now find it one of the great modern conveniences. Hmmm...anyone else find theirs such a great thing?

BTW as an aside, I really don't care for like apple products much, more opinion that anything.
My wife loves her iphone 4S and she's almost a Luddite.
A smartphone is indispensable for me. Having internet, audio, video, voice typing, gps, camera, etc. on such a small device is awesome. I've had a Motorola Razr Maxx HD for about 6 months and love it. I was hesitant to switch from my qwerty keyboard Blackberry because I do a lot of typing with my business while away from the office. But, voice typing is even faster. Consumer Reports rated the Razr Maxx HD the best smartphone, but I know other sites have rated Iphone or Samsung Galaxy S3 as tops. The Razr Maxx HD battery life has no equal though.
I also have the Razr Maxx HD. My old eyes sometimes wish I got a bigger phone.

Fortunately my eyes are just fine. The screen looks huge to me switching from a much smaller screen Blackberry.
The big problem with the IPhone is that it is planned obsolescence. The battery can't be replaced and will eventually wear out. I love my Samsung III.

For Luddites, iPhones are perfect. For those of us a bit more open to new technology, I think Android is superior.

Hey thanks for the info. Been using a Blackberry for a few years and a little hesitant about smarting up. About time to make the jump thanks for the push.

You're welcome! The Razr Maxx HD is only available with Verizon and it was rated by CR as the best phone on their network. The Samsung S4 just came out and I think it is available with all the major carriers.

Btw, I'm also loving my new smart tv. The last tv I bought was in 2009 and I guess they didn't exist then. Downloading movies and tv shows directly to my tv is so convenient. I've actually only downloaded directly from Amazon so far, but I know there are additional options.

A few years ago I was hesitant about the iphone myself. However once used to it I find it indespensible in daily life. I am not a big apple fan either but the iphone seems to be tops for me anyways. I have AT&T and well everyone I know says they love their Samsungs so much but also complain about issues such as locking up etc. I have had a 3GS and upgraded to the 4GS a year or so ago and love it. The 4GS has a substantially better camera and video quality than the 4G if that makes a difference to you. I am unfamiliar with the new Motorola as I don't believe it is available up here and have never seen one. I am pretty sure that the battery as well as screen can be replaced. It just has to be done professionally such as at a Radioshack or similar. I have never had an issue with the batteries in either of my iphones with heavy usage however and can't recall it ever being an issue Ive heard about.
