I just got back from the Florida Nuclear Medicine Conference that is done once a year.
This year was in Orlando... But I learned something important about IRAN's Nuclear Program.

So a few simple stats, and then you decide if IRAN intends to build Nuclear Weapons, or make electricity..

Bottom line, it starts out with u235 being mined out of the earth like Coal, gold, diamonds, whatever.
What you do with the u235 to change it into other things is up to you.....

To make medical Radiopharmanacy drugs, like that used in my field, it is very expensive compared to u235 fuel used to power a Nuclear Power plant to make electricity, that Iran claims they ONLY WANT to do.

Bottom line is here in 1-2-3.
1) To power a Nuclear Power Plant, u235 needs to be enriched to 3-5% only, period, done of story!
2) Next level up is enrichment to 20%, which Iran has now achieve stockpiles of.
3) If you enrich to 20%, you have only two intended targets left.

A) To enrich to 90%+ to produce Medical Drugs used by personel like myself, or
B) To use in Nuclear Weapons.

So here is the Iran lie to the World.
a) Iran claims to only want to produce Nuclear Energy.
b) So they only need to enrich u235 to 3-5%
c) Iran has stock piled u235 at levels of 20%, exceeding needs for power generation.
d) Iran claims they further want to developed thier enrichment u235 for medical purposes only.
THE LIE:
Their stock pile exceeds what 5 sepearte countries, using 5 seperate reactors, are already producing for entire worlds needs.

So Iran loves you, and now wants to become the domminate world leader in supplying Nuclear materials for Medical purposes.... (Without the Facilities to process highly enriched u235 into Medical supplies).
Opps, they forgot about that one.
What this means... is to use this for Medical, there has to be a facility near the reactor to process this into Medical use.
For each of the 5 world wide reactors used to medical supply, the processing facillity is a few miles away from the Reactor.
Becasue of Nuclear Physics, I will not go into why these facilities need to be so close to the reactor, but they do..

Iran has no processing facility near their reactor, in fact, their product is transported to the enrichment facility buried deep into a mountain, that is has no Medical use facility near it.... So...

For they love the World....
They love you and me...
To build their biggest stock pile of enriched 20% u235 to be enriched for medical purposes only..
When they only need 3-5% for electrical Nuclear Power plants....

Now you know more than the average person, but what World Leaders are allowing to happen.
