I Think Rush Really Stepped In It This Time

Thank You, you just made my point...again . Bob

[Lack of tolerance and respect for all people , not just those that have the same viewpoint as oneself ]

Just curious, why do you have such a bitter, negative attitude on certain aspects of life, religion is not a part of YOUR life , but why do you feel it is necessary to mock those that do have it as a part of their life ?

When it comes to the holier-than-thou pious types who wear their religion on their sleeves, I'm in agreement with the (intolerant?) guy who said this:

"When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you."

I don't see Bob prancing around wearing any religious holier-than-thou badges or anything, he makes his points just like most of us. In fact Forkie, YOU are the one that actually parades around aith your holir than thou badge on, only it's not religion you spout as the pinnacle of being, it's you precious democratic view of everyone's being and how it would be a better world if everyone thought like you. Zero tolerance for others views, you twist words, other peoples actions that you don't approve of are quickly denounced and trampled on by you. When others make an point that is honest and accurate, you either deflect it, change the subject and often times your post turn to personal attacks.

So don't even go around here saying a word about holier than thou to others when you,my friend, are the king of my way or the highway bullshit,Im sure its the reason most people dont like you and dismiss most of what you say.

Which you say as you make a personal attack. Ironic? I think Alanis Morissette needs to write a new verse.

I wasn't referring to Bob, and I am not accusing him of anything; I was referring to the ultra pious folks in JC's parable, who refused to help the Samaritan, because he was an illegal alien.

Just like today.

And when I point out that I was totally right about Iraq, deregulating Wall Street, the Patriot Act, and Don't Ask, Don't Tell, it isn't like a religious thing! Actually, I'm just bragging.

That "woman" was a post grad law student at Georgetown. No one was preventing her from accessing contraception. She thought other people should cover the costs of her personal sexual behavior decisions. She may or may not have been/is a slut. When she expects others to pay for the results of her personal sexual behavior, she becomes a whore, in more ways than one. She and her partner(s) are responsible for the results of their behavior. Not society. Not the college. Not an insurance company. Not the government.

Personal responsibility is dying within this nation, and it is happening intentionally. People used to ask for help only when they really needed it. Now, they not only expect it, they demand it as some kind of right.

3 rhetorical inquiries:

1)There's no foul in disagreeing about contraception being included in health insurance or not.... But calling people who disagree with you a slut ( or in your case calling them a whore) probably isn't an intelligent way to win their affection....dont ya think?

I'm disagreeing with her. She made this a personal issue by placing herself in front of Congress. How I see her is my opinion based solely upon her statements. When the truth hurts, it doesn't really matter to me if my expressing the truth wins (or loses) anyone's affection. The truth is much more important than what anyone thinks about who is telling the truth.

I'm unaware that he abused any heath insurance system. Perhaps you know of an instance where he defrauded an insurance company when he became addicted to a pain killer. ...and you are walking a fine line equating abuse to addiction.

So if women are whores for wanting the pill paid for by their insurance...then whAt about men who already get their boner pills from insurance?

They would be man whores. Do you think it is a function of the government to demand that insurance companies guarantee that any man be able to have a boner when ever he wants one?

How many people are taking high blood pressure or high cholesterol medications paid by insurance companies to combat conditions brought on by their behavior? Eating chips and not exercising will lead to heath problems. Why should other people cover medicine to combat that when a better diet and exercise will cure it?

A rather complex set of questions. High blood pressure and high cholesterol are not solely determined by dietary choices. They are also genetic predispositions. I'm 6'1", 156 pounds. I can eat all of what ever I want whenever I want. I have low blood pressure and I eat table salt straight from the shaker. I suppose the government is somewhat responsible for unhealthy dietary behavior in a growing (pun intended) segment of our society in that it doesn't regulate food stamps to only be used for purchasing food that would lower or eliminate health risks for some people.

What boggles my mind are the woman who are fans of this guy, that and all of the repubs that shake in their boots at the mere thought of pissing him off.
