Not true - a majority of Congressional Democrats OPPOSED the authorization for war. And it was opposed by virtually all of the liberal Democrats.*

But I blame everyone who supported the disaster; obviously Bush, any Democrats who supported it, and you rdwoodpecker if you supported it. Hillary was denied the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination, and probably the presidency, because of her stupidity and cowardice on that vote. I'm proud to say I helped her lose.

What's happening in Iraq now was predicted and predictable.

you are correct, it did not pass by the entire congress. However, senate democrats voted 29-21 in favor! So, you still blame the republicans for all of this? Like I stated don't point fingers when YOUR SENATE voted in favor of it.

But yes, Forkie I was for it with the little bit of information that I had to make a choice. I hoped that the folks in washington had much more info than I had on this matter.

Seriously rdwoodpecker, do they have to water you twice a day?

In this message that you quote, I wrote:

And previously in this thread, I wrote:
I don't just blame Bush or the Republicans. Lots of Democrats have blood on their hands over this.

But not the liberals.

So could the people who were so wrong in 2002/2003 please shut up about it this time. If someone wants intelligent, informed opinions on Iraq, maybe they should listen to Brent Scowcroft. Or The Dixie Chicks. Or Al Franken. Or me. But not you.

you are simply the most "arrogant ass" to ever dawn this site!
The obama could even take a arrogant tip or two from you.
Yea, can't make a point w/o name calling or an insult anymore. Pathetic

Insult? Oh you mean that your junior high "pansy-a$$ #@**#@#-&**#@#" earlier in this thread is much more acceptable than my semi-plagiarized "Do they have to water you twice a day?"

I guess it's a matter of perspective.

I never called you anything, I was referring to anyone who was watching the vents of 9/11 and in their heads the US should do nothing in response. Do you need watered twice a day that you couldn't distinguish that? Then again your reading comprehension is only what you want to see or read, nothing more, nothing less, you're a child with a keyboard who thinks he's big shit.

Actually, you were referring to anyone who thinks that attacking the mostly secular Shiite Iraq was an incredibly stupid way to respond to an attack from fundamentalist Saudi and Afghan Sunnnis. So yeah, you were insulting me, most of my friends and family, and just about anyone I can imagine respecting on the subject.

And now jatki, you're up to "child with a keyboard," "pathetic," and "pansy-a$$ #@**#@#-&**#@#." But you object to insults. Classic.
“. . . al Qaeda is on the run and Osama bin Laden is no more.”
__The Obama, 5 October 2012

DonDiego suggests the reader add Kenya to the list of places into which al Qaeda is running.
"Actually, you were referring to anyone who thinks that attacking the mostly secular Shiite Iraq was an incredibly stupid way to respond to an attack from fundamentalist Saudi and Afghan Sunnnis.'

Yeah, hussein was such a great guy.

Meanwhile, while the Middl East burns, Obama plays golf and attends fundraisers
Hoops and DD should fill us all in on the correct way to manage the Middle East. Us liberals prefer they manage themselves. But us liberals haven't read Don Rumsfeld's guide to world domination. So help us all out. Please tell us the correct path forward...and give us some details on things like:

1) how many more tours of duty you would have our soldiers embark upon?
2) How many more US taxdollars are you prepared to spend?
3) How you reconcile the cost? Are you raising taxes? Are you adding it to the debt? Or are the oil revenues going to pay for it all?
4) And how long its going to take?
5) What does victory mean in the context of our intervention in the Middle East?

These are all questions the previous administration couldn't be bothered with. And for 6 years neither Hoops or DD started any critical threads. But they've got it all figured out now. Give us the prescription guys! I'll order up some Freedom Fries and give you my full attention !
