Is there ANY Strip hotel that doesn't charge a resort fee?

I am planning a trip to Vegas in a couple of months. I prefer to stay on the Strip since I don't rent a car while I am in such a big city (ok, it's a BIG city to me. The traffic is much heavier then I am used to). Are there any hotel/casinos that have not started charging resort fees? I can't see paying for internet access and fitness room access when I won't use them. Not to mention, if I get a decent room rate, the resort fee comes close to doubling what I spend for the room each night. Can anyone help a lady out with some suggestions?
I may be wrong, but All of the strip properties charge the rip off fee. There are several properties downtown that don't charge this fee.
I searched and searched to find a hotel that did not charge the fee for my trip last summer. I booked the Flamingo and about a week later they started to charge the fee. Luckily, I was grandfathered in and didn't have to pay it. For this year's trip, I'm staying at MGM Signature Suites which I booked directly through the owner on VRBO.com (Vacation Rentals by Owner). I got a better deal than the group rate that was being offered to me @ the regular MGM with no resort fee plus I get a kitchen. The only drawback is if I want housekeeping during my stay it's $45 a day. Obviously, I plan on re-using my towels and making my own bed. If you do find a place make sure to post here. My room is not available for the night of our arrival so I need to get a different room for one night.
As of a few months ago Casino Royale was the only true strip-located hotel/casino that does not charge a resort fee. It is affiliated with the Best Western chain and is a Best Western Plus level which is a notch up. Moreover most rooms were renovated within a year or so. It is the smallest hotel in the prime strip area therefore really does not have much in the way of any entertainment venues, but it has a casino and a few chain restaurants within the complex, though you are steps to many other larger hotels with innumerable restaurant and entertainment choices.

Its locatiion is what most people call center strip and is excellent right next door to the massive Venetian/Palazzo resort complex and across the strip from the Mirage. Also within easy walking distance is Harrah's, The Quad, and the Flamingo. Across the street just a bit south is the massive Caesar's complex .

I think at the TI the resort fee is optional
I think at TI it is optional if you are an invited guest or they used to make it optional if you booked through their website or their TV advertisement. Don't know if that still holds true. If it does, it is a great place to stay.
The resort fee is just a gimmick. It allows the hotels to advertise room rates lower than their true price. If a law passed tomorrow outlawing resort fees the hotels would simply raise their room rates by the same amount.
What pj is saying is that you should just accept it as part of the room rate. I believe there is a website that shows the resort fees (maybe even somewhere here at LVA). You can just use that list to adjust. I think the last time I paid rack rate at Hard Rock, when the issue arose, I had the opportunity to decline the fee.

No. Platinum people don't get charged, either. Since, Wifi has no marginal cost, I wish they would throw it in for free.
