Vegas Free-for-All - I've resorted to imaginary Vegas trips

Madcat and I only get to Vegas about three times a year now since moving to Hawaii at the end of 2010. We miss Vegas more since our move because Hawaii is one of the only states with no form of gambling. Our solution is to take an imaginary trip every Sunday.

What do we do?

- We listen to KJUL (104.7) every Sunday at 7 PM Vegas time through their website. They replay the Dennis Bono show which is recorded live at the South Point Casino every Thursday. He has various celebrity guests each week.

- We log in to our laptops and play VP at videopoker.com

- We cocktail

Desperate times call for desperate measures!

Does anybody else have an escape or coping mechanism until the next trip?

We used to go more frequently but the airline fares are outrageous and the 5 1/2 hour plane rides from Honolulu to Las Vegas get old real fast. Our bozo politicians will never allow gambling here. It will corrupt our moral fiber.

@pearlguy- Thanks. Like I said desperate times for call for desperate measures.

@roulette- The lounges (minus the VP machines) are easy to find. I hear the working girls are too.

@blonde4ever- If we could board the ship and gamble while in dock we would do it. Vegas would be cheaper than a cruise for us with comped rooms. Time off and the long flight play a factor.

omg I thought I was the only virtual vegas tripper. Last trip was 3 years ago. We would kick summer off with a trip during Memorial weekend. It's coming up and the urge is kicking in again. We probably have gone 15 times from 2007-2009 and every weekend when we go do our partime job I try to remember the first trip and what we did and where we stayed and every emotion that goes with a great vegas trip. Then i try to remember every trip since and this gets me through another weekend . That much closer to when we can safely financially go. I know once that trip kicks in another will have to follow and hopefully back to 2 a year.
