I've resorted to imaginary Vegas trips

After each Trip to Vegas (for the past ten years), I come home and type out a brief trip report about what we did on a day by day basis, (the shows, where we ate, big wins, the cocktails, the pools, etc.) and print it out. I keep them in a folder. I can't begin to tell you how many times I pull that folder out and re-read and relive each precious trip.
Do what George Costanza inspired me to do. About ten years ago, I was about three weeks away from my next trip and getting ansy. I really looked forward to TRs back then and the forums had been slow of late. I decided to kill two birds with one stone and write a fake TR. I followef my usual MO of staying with my friends the first couple of days before moving on to hotels etc. I made it a winning trips but was sure to throw in some losing days. I included much detail on golf outings and restaurant meals. All in all it was a great trip! I ended the report by saying that it was a dream trip and that's all it was. A few members caught that, but quite a few that repied, did so as if it was all real! If only my real trip a few weeks down the road had gone the same way!

Good Luck!

I had a weekend date with Kate Uston last weekend. We went to the Bahamas.

Sorry, I'm not going to go into details, but it makes BAGs TR's look tame.

I may be seeing her again this weekend.

Sure beats a weekend trip to Vegas, even if it was imaginary.

I spent last night counting cards with Ken Upton last night.

My virtual trip turned into reality.

I was in Vegas Feb for Super Bowl for a week and have a birthday trip planned for July 5-11.

Daughter and SIL are going for the rodeo Dec 12-18 with friends and asked me to come. I said no not wanting to intrude and figured 3 times in one year was too much.

Frequent flyer miles burning a hole in my pocket. Checked the hotels on LVA and found the Flamingo for $31.50 for Wed, Thurs, Sun and Mon. and the weekend for $38.50 for a FAB Luxury room. This was an unbelivable rate, husband said go for it. A few minutes later I am all booked.
