Obama whiners will never admit defeat in the eyes of failure. Here's the true story as told by CNN, CBS, MSNBC (add a few snickers) and FNC today: the lady HAS had insurance over the years at less than $200/mo. But, with this fantastic new "affordable" insurance requirement, she is no longer able to afford it so she is opting out and says she will have to use emergency rooms instead. Her policy premium nearly doubled.

So again we see another clear example of Obama making a big fool of himself on national tv, and leaves his misinformed cult of followers and supporters--which has laughably dwindled to 37%--scrambling around making excuses for his incompetence. The best part is even dunces like Axelrod, phony & truly dumb Pelosi, wimpy Harry Reid, and Was-a-man Wasserman are having trouble explaining how this embarrassment and humiliation can possibly be!

The joke law continues to be the gift that keeps on giving, and all loons like Chill can do is cut and paste obvious lies from Media Matters. It really doesn't get any better than this.

Did you hear that idiot Wasserman pronounce "misled" as "myzulled" a couple of weeks ago? I heard it come right out of her mouth. I'm amused how the left is so enthralled by Sarah Palin that they won't even acknowledge brain dead morons like Wasserman.

Trust me Alexsheepson.......the left is not enthralled by Palin. We are disgusted, horrified, and in bewilderment how ANYBODY could actually believe one word that comes out of her clueless piehole. But then we have the sheeple from FAUX News spreading the good word from their Caribou Barbie !

As for Wasserman mispronouncing a word.....THE HORROR. Somebody call the FBI, CIA, ect... and have that woman arrested and thrown into jail.....pronto !

"Brain dead morons like Wassrman" ?

LOL ! Take a good, hard look at your poster Barbie from Alaska.......and turn off the Fox-Box !

Seriously man, can you ever do anything more than scream about fox news? It's all you ever say, well now you're fixated on Palin, but that's it. Try interjecting with something of substance every now and again.

I'm just trying to help

J

Like most of the alarmist stories drmilled posts here, the Jessica Sanford story that drmilled posted has now fallen apart.

The right-wing media goaded drmilled into posting that this uninsured single mom, who makes $49,000 a year, and her uninsured son, who has ADHD for whom she pays $250 to $300 a month in prescription drugs, won't be helped by Obamacare.

Well, turns out that, thanks to Obamacare, her son is now qualified for Medicaid at $30 a month, and it will pay for all his doctor visits and those prescriptions. His Mom, meanwhile, can get a bronze policy for $237 a month, and a silver one for $313.

In other words, for less than she was paying just for her son's meds, both she and her son will have access to robust health insurance.

Here's the Seattle Times followup that has somehow eluded Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Drudge, Heritage, WorldNetDaily, Mark Levin, and all the others "news" sources beloved by the willfully ignorant:

So here’s a family that was totally uninsured for 15 years because it had always cost at least $500 to $600 a month for skimpy policies to cover them both. And what they can get now is full coverage for $30 a month for the son and scantier coverage in the $250 to $300 a month range for the mom. How is that a horror story?

I look forward to the lack of a retraction from drmilled.

(Special note for albeadle33: the story again notes how Ms. Sanford has been uninsured for 15 years, so I look forward to your lack of a retraction as well lol)
Interesting: The only good part in the story for Obama is the Medicaid benefits her son will receive. There is nothing good about the craptastic Bronze Plan mom has to pay for. It is cruel and sadistic to tell someone they have insurance and then give them a 5k-$6,250 a year deductible they have to pay before they can use it. She is having trouble coming up with the $237 a month pay for it do you really think she can come up with 5k-$6,250 on demand to use it?

Again, you seem to have no real idea how health insurance works.

Under Obamacare, people do not have to first satisfy their entire deductible before benefits start being paid. All plans pay 100% of the cost of preventative visits. They also pay for portions of certain doctor visits and prescription drugs before the full deductible is reached.

The premise of your question is completely false.

Oh, and get insurance. Your wife is very sick and having insurance will save your family a LOT of money and keep you from being a burden on society.

[NOTE: Edited to remove incorrect description of pre-deductible coinsurance & copays, I got that bit wrong.]
The prior articles mentioned she had some preexisting conditions that required regular medication. By the time a lot of folks hit 49 its not preventative care they need it is ongoing monitoring and treatment of preexisting conditions.

You are getting distracted by the tchotchkes Obama tossed out to disguise the higher deductibles, higher co-pays and higher co-insurance in his plans.

What good is that free preventative care because if you discover you have something you are stuck with the high out of pocket costs?

You should also read the actual language used in the plan's descriptions on the exchanges they don't work the way you say.

They also pay for portions of doctor visits and prescription drugs well before the full deductible is reached. Bronze plans, for instance, pay for 60% of nonpreventative doctor visit bills until the deductible is met; silver pay 70%, gold 80%, and platinum 90%. Then, they all pay for 100% of subsequent visits.

The premise of your question is completely false.

You're kidding, right?

Well, for instance, if you go to a dermatologist for a free screening and he or she finds a suspicious lesion, you will then have the information you need to care for that lesion before it gets worse and kills you so that your family has to either put your corpse in a box in the ground where worms will try to get at it, or burn it in a very hot oven until all that is left of you is a couple scoops of ashes.

Seriously, go get insurance. No, it's not perfect, but for your family it will save you a lot of money and may keep you and your wife and kid from dying to death.
So in other words I should have to pay $400 a month for insurance and then expect to pay 6k up front to that dermatologist to treat me? That doesn't seem like a very good deal to me. When they found my first legions I didn't have insurance either. The local sawbones referred me to a dermatologist. I went to see him and he said yes that is what that is. He asked what I did and at the time I was doing a lot of work with CHINS kids and Wards of the state so I told him about that. He seemed impressed he said I tell you what since you don't have insurance I'll surgically extract them all in the office today, save you a lot of money and send them to the cheapest lab. I paid him $200 bucks, and he extracted all 3 right there in a regular exam room and then stitched them up. A couple of weeks later I got bill from the lab for $176 and that was my entire cost for the whole deal. Now I do have one Keloid on my chest and two on my back where they were, but that was one hell of a deal. A few years later I had one removed in the local hospital OR as an outpatient with insurance. I had to pay 2500 in deductibles, co-pays and fees for that one. I felt like I really got screwed on that deal. I don't know how much they charged the Insurance company. In any event I got the better deal without insurance. The only difference was the one in the hospital didn't scar like the others.

No need to argue with the chill troll. He knows what Obamacare is and he knows all deductibles have to be met before any insured care is given, which most people need before the preventative exam nonsense. He just doesn't like it, and he can't stand watching his lying and race-baiting president continuously get shredded before his very eyes on the tube each night. OTOH, I'm in ecstasy whenever I see the pres. serving up more lies trying to cover up his mess and other lies. What a legacy this idiot's making for himself!
I watch chilly praise Saint Obama and his ill-conceived ACA and I just smile to myself knowing its only a matter of time before it bites him in the wallet also as it surely will eventually. Those with insurance will pay more. Those who shop the marketplace will pay even more yet. One way or another. The only winners here are the insurance companies................again.
