Joe The Plumber goes Union

Boilerman's political views are so far skewed that he deserves condemnation and ridicule. He seems to be a zealot, who claims to know some profound truth that the rest of us are ignoring, and relies on that special "knowledge" to monger xenophobia.

Like snidely333 said, those beliefs are acceptable (barely), unless the person tries to implement them.
Most people incorrectly use the word "makes" when describing a companies revenue. Plenty of compaies with revenue of $250,000 lose money.

Being that a company with income of $250,000 would likely sell for $1.5 million, I suspect that Joe spoke incorrectly.

Our government already has plenty of laws mandating racial prejudice. Look around!

You reproduced? That's depressing.

You're becoming incapable of any type of civil discourse aren't you forky.?

Who is the first one to complain about ad hominem attacks?
That wasn't an ad hominem, because it had nothing to do with countering the argument he was making. It was a pure, unadulterated insult.

And it's real simple. Boilerman believes in racial prejudice, wants to codify it in our government, and even wants to encourage the police and others to target blacks. And I believe that it's regrettable when people like him are a moral influence on young Americans.

We're both entitled to our beliefs, right?

I'm very familiar with union tactics. Don't tow the union line? Expect to have your tires slashed. Don't tow the union line? Expect to have paint thrown on the bricks of your home. Still don't tow the union line? Expect continued vandalism and then come the letters threatening physical harm. Apparently unions have borrowed the KKK's tactics of 50 years ago.

I know how it works. I grew up in Chicago...................I know.

Boilerman, I strongly urge your son to keep his political beliefs to himself when he is around his fellow union members. We have a saying here at Local 2294, a union man voting republican is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders.

We had several members who were / are so disgruntled with President Obama that they voted for Rick Scott, everyone of them regrets their vote. The first thing Scott did was attack the pension system which BTW is completely healthy.

Actually, the opposite. A company that "made" $200,000 of baked goods would have $200,000 of revenue. Net profit would usually be a small percentage of what was "made." It isn't unusual for a company to refer to total revenue as income (what came in).

Likewise, the use of "gross income" on the Form 1040, etc. etc. etc.

So odd for you to be using a categorization.
Jilly, please read my quote. "Most people incorrectly use the word "makes" when describing a companies revenue. Plenty of compaies with revenue of $250,000 lose money."

I did read your quote. It ISN'T incorrect to use "makes" to describe revenue.
I disagree.
