Joe The Plumber goes Union

You probably disagree with the statement that the earth isn't flat.

You also seem to be one of the last people to discover that "Joe the Plumber" spoke "incorrectly," about buying a plumbing company when he didn't even have a license.

Still don't tow the union line? Expect continued vandalism and then come the letters threatening physical harm. Apparently unions have borrowed the KKK's tactics of 50 years ago.

I know how it works. I grew up in Chicago...................I know.

Boilerman, I strongly urge your son to keep his political beliefs to himself when he is around his fellow union members. We have a saying here at Local 2294, a union man voting republican is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders.

We had several members who were / are so disgruntled with President Obama that they voted for Rick Scott, everyone of them regrets their vote. The first thing Scott did was attack the pension system which BTW is completely healthy.

Yes Boilerman.......we get it. Unions=BAD, Non-Union companies=GOOD. That's the BS line you keep trying to pound into the sheep.

And for those who like to forget history....

One is not required to have a plumber's license to own a plumbing company. One is required to have a license to perform certified work.

Like snidely333 said, those beliefs are acceptable (barely), unless the person tries to implement them.

I believe you're referring to forkie

Sheesh!

No, I did write something to that effect. If someone wants to see every black as having a 50% chance being a criminal that is legal in our country and a belief held by lots of folks. I condemn it. And I condemn any movement to make it legal for the government to act this way.

Warning Signs that You are in a Cult

If you suspect the group you are in is harmful, but are not sure, ask yourself these questions:

do they claim to have a special corner on the truth, something no other groups has?

The number one answer, by golly! And then there's number 9:

do they place and emphasis on evil and the devil, declaring that the world outside is a threat to the group?

What's it like to spend one's life telling lies and half truths?

From the Ohio statutes:

"4740.01 Construction industry licensing board definitions.
As used in this chapter:

(A) "License" means a license the Ohio construction industry licensing board issues to an individual as a heating, ventilating, and air conditioning contractor, refrigeration contractor, electrical contractor, plumbing contractor, or hydronics contractor.

(B) "Contractor" means any individual or business entity that satisfies both of the following:

(1) Directs, supervises, or has responsibility for the means, method, and manner of construction, improvement, renovation, repair, or maintenance on a construction project with respect to one or more trades and who offers, identifies, advertises, or otherwise holds out or represents that the individual or business entity is permitted or qualified to perform, direct, supervise, or have responsibility for the means, method, and manner of construction, improvement, renovation, repair, or maintenance with respect to one or more trades on a construction project;

(2) Performs or otherwise supervises or directs tradespersons who perform construction, improvement, renovation, repair, or maintenance on a construction project with respect to the contractor's trades."

So, according to your theory, "Joe the Plumber" was going to buy a plumbing company that included master plumbers and journeyman plumbers who were capable of working on large projects, and then he was going to sit on his ass while they did all the work, because he wasn't allowed on the job sites, because he was unqualified. And he was going to make a decent living this way, except for all that interference by the evil empire.

Have you ever, once, heard of the word "shill?"
It is sad that the only thing jilly has to do on a Sunday is to conduct internet research to continue an internet argument with an unidentified person.

By the way there are are several publicly held plumbing companies, where the shareholders are not licensed plumbers
There's a Website for people like you.

Joe reminds me of the loud drunk everybody just politely nods at as they back away. Tedious. Tiresome. Juvenile. Simplistic. Jingoistic. Hateful. Xenophobic. Reading this book will lower your IQ and make it hard to look at yourself in the mirror. You will feel dirty.
