So, Jilly is telling us that Servpro, which employees licensed plumbers, could not go "public", and sell stock. In Jilly's opinion, all stock owners would first be required to produce a plumbers license. I will state again, one needs not a license to own a plumbing company.
My thinking is that Joe was never going to buy a plumbing company and was never really serious about it. He didn't have what it took. He blamed his failure as a venture capitalist on Obama. I see this often at my local dive bar. People are in there every time I am and since I'm only there sparingly, I assume they are there very often. They drink a lot and waste their time there. I overhear them complaining about their position in life and how it's all the goddamn foreigners that come and take the jobs they want or it's the liberals or some scapegoat or another. Since I don't want to get beat up, I don't bring up the obvious and suggest that the time and money they spend at the dive bar could be used for night classes to improve their employment prospects. It's just human nature to accept one's position in life and complain about it rather than do anything to change it.
Here in NJ, there a many plumbers working that don't have licenses. The owner of the company has the license and responsibility and lots of "helpers" that do the actual work without supervision.
