Las Vegas Metro Police Will Not Respond To Non-Injury Fender Benders

What do you guys think about this?

Las Vegas Metro
Once again cities cut services while giving pay raises to officials- it is all about the money.
More time for donuts....
They're trying to blackmail the citizens to vote for more taxes so they can hire more cops. It's a very juvenile tactic. They lost their request for a higher sales tax (the "more cops tax"), so they're acting like children. "Na, na, na, we'll show you."

Believe it or not Public Services cost money. If the budget comes up short you can either increase revenues or cut services. Neither choice is ever popular. Looks like the city is doing the latter.

If one doesn't have a better solution given the current budget then one is just blowing hot air.
So much for a police report on a rental car accident...as required by the contract. Drive safe.

Here...I have a better solution. They certify some private companies...like maybe towing companies...that have people who are trained and certified to write up non injury accident reports.

They add $100 to the towing bill for the report or maybe just charge $50 per vehicle to write it up and the LVPD accepts the report into their system. You don't tie up expensive officers with this kind of paperwork and they can then be focused on fighting crime or whatever.

Hell, they should outsource this even if the City Paid for the reports. I'm sure it's a lot cheaper than one of those high priced city workers. I bet we could find a lot more to outsource if they really wanted to save money.

Well I can actually see one driver getting pissed at the other driver and then they start battling each other on who's at fault and then the gun comes out and one person is shot......We live in the old Wild West Days today. As a few posters have said it all about money and getting voters to put a tax on themselves....the best advis eis INSURANCE---INSURANCE--and more INSURANCE
Let the car crash scam again!
Living in Las Vegas it's wise to have uninsured motorists coverage because of all the illegal drivers. I'm sure the problem is even worse in our neighboring state Mexifornia.
