Laughlin

Got an offer from Harrah's for free flight and 3 free night in Laughlin so I thought I would give it a try, leaving this Thursday. I haven't been to Laughlin in at least 10 years so was wondering if anyone has any recommendations of things we should do or see.

My opinion, there's not a heck of a lot to "do or see" in Laughlin, ........ basically just casinos.

This is a good time of year to go because the pools are open and its not too hot.

I recommend the Aquarius for staying. The rooms are recently refreshed and they usually give you a free breakfast in the diner if you book through their website.

There really isn't much "new" in Laughlin in the last 10 years. You shuld expect to do the same stuff you did 10 years ago.
Hey Kathie,

One thing I like doing is going to the free auto museum at Don Laughlin's Riverside Casino, besides
being free, it also gives you a couple nice views of the River since it is located up a few floors.

Ditto on Aquarius and Auto Museum. If you want a walk after dinner, walk over the bridge and catch Riverside Casinos free ferry back.
I have been getting mailers for some fairly decent singers coming to the Edgewater - it would be worth checking who is there. Riverside Casino buffet is an absolute "Must Miss". Staff are incredibly rude and the food is really bad. Aquarius buffet is quite good. The Starbucks in Aquarius has free WiFi.

Not much has changed in Laughlin in 20 years, let alone 10. lol Aquarius of course sold and became Aquarius, with some remodeling, including the rape of a great Italian place and a decent steakery, the latter now replaced by a, sigh, Outback. They ruined the brew pub at the Belle. Few other restaurant changes here/there. River taxis actually got kinda stupid expensive. But Laughlin remains Laughlin.
You might want to rent a car and take a side trip to Hoover Dam or Oatman, AZ. I've read reports where people have enjoyed exploring the Christmas Tree Pass. Google it because I think part of the drive is on a dirt road. My mom enjoys shopping at the outlet mall. There's also a river cruise that goes from Laughlin to Lake Havasu City. Check out https://www.laughlinentertainer.com/ for bands, concert and shows that are happening during your trip.
Christmas tree pass - don't go if it has been raining - there is a good chance that you will bog the car down. Otherwise - great trip.
The river is probably still too cold but if not you can rent jet skis and mess around on the water....that is always fun!
Christmas Tree Pass is not for rental cars; awesome route. And if you rent a car, drive to Vegas!!! lol The river's always cold, what warms up is the air.
