Laughlin

Thank you so much for your responses, you guys are the best!

Rick - Since the flight gets in on Thursday night and leaves Sunday morning there won't be time to do much anyway so gambling is fine with me.

PJ - The junket is from Harrah's so I will be staying there, but from what I can tell it looks like Aquarius is the place to go for a buffet and good vp.

Lee - perfect, will have to check out the auto museum. My friend wants to go to the prime rib room at Riverside so that should work out.

Tony - first I have heard of the free ferry? It goes from Riverside to Harrahs? Tony Bennett is playing at Harrah's when we are there, but not sure he is my cup of tea. I will skip the Riverside buffet, have you eaten at the prime rib room?

Ken - It may have been 20 years! I can't remember the last time I was there, actually. I do know that Aquarius wasn't there the last time I visited. Do you recall how much water taxis are? I think I found something that said they were about $4. I did read the water taxis are sometimes hard to get, but I really don't mind walking.

Lisa - Thanks Lisa. Might skip the rental car since we are really only there for 2 full days, but the river cruise might be a really fun. Have you done that? Thanks so much for the link, doesn't look like too much going on but maybe there will be some Cinco De Mayo fun or something.

Robert - might have to check that out, but I'm more likely to relax by the water and have some tropical drinks :-)

Have fun, Kathie.

I believe the water taxis were $5/per. From Harrah's you can at least get your $$ worth because your property is southern-most. You can ride to one to the northern-most ports like Riverside.

Regarding the culinary options, it is slim pickings. The Gourmet Room at Riverside is probably the Alpha of your dining choices. Nice room with windows for walls to provide nice view of the river. The Range is probably your second-best choice, though inconsistent, with nice view. I wasn't aware that Aquarius has upgraded its buffet.
Aquarius is the old Flaming-O.

Agree with the egg on the Gourmet Room. It's been quite a few years since we ate at Granny's at the Smoke-o-neer, but that joint actually did one of the best eats in town.
If you have a diamond card, you can use your points to buy water taxi tickets at a discount. Using points, I think it's $4 each way. Find out what time the water taxis stop at night - depends on the water flow. If you miss the water taxis, you can always take a cab to get back to Harrahs.

I think the free ferry (water taxi) goes from Riverside's employee parking on the AZ side of the river to Riverside. The bridge is the main road that takes one to Bullhead City.

The river cruise to Lake Havasu City is on my list of things to do.
Go McHa$$ah'$ ... a dollar discount!!! lol
There are boat trips up and down the river. They include dinner cruises, paddle wheel and jet boats, trips as far as Lake Havasu and london Bridge. You might find one of these fun. I'll agree with the Riverside auto museum, a nice exhibit.
London Bridge? They thought that they were buying Tower Bridge - which is spectacular.
London Bridge was just an arched bridge made from bricks.

London Bridge is falling down,
Falling down, falling down . . . .
That was its ONLY claim to fame.
But it is still worth the trip!

Years ago Granny's at the Pioneer featured a spectacular Sunday Brunch with lots of fancy eats, including, f'rinstance, made-to-order omelettes and frog's-legs.
It has been closed for over a year.
But, NOW the Pioneer website indicates it is open for Dinner only on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. It might be worthwhile, especially if KathieMc23 wants to impress her "friend", . . . wink, wink, . . . nod, nod.

Do you have frogs legs?
Hop over there and get me a beer!
